The Pichwai Koti Kurta Pajama Set — named after the ancient Pichwai painting tradition of Nathdwara — brings together a printed pure satin silk koti and a pure linen kurta pajama in sunshine yellow — a combination that is as joyful to look at as it is thoughtful in its design.

The koti is the showpiece: a printed pure satin silk waistcoat in a vibrant Indian miniature-inspired arch print. Scalloped ogee arches in pink, yellow and coral frame illustrated scenes of Indian court life — elephants in ceremonial procession, peacocks displaying their plumes, figures under carved niches, decorative vases, pineapples and tropical birds. It is Pichwai art and Mughal miniature painting translated into a contemporary festive koti for a little prince.

Beneath the koti, the sunshine yellow pure linen kurta is clean and luminous — the perfect backdrop for the koti’s extraordinary print to take centre stage. The matching yellow linen pajama completes the three-piece set with warmth and coordination.

•     Koti: dry clean recommended to preserve the satin silk and print quality

•     Kurta and pajama: machine washable on a gentle cycle — cold water preferred

•     Wash kurta and pajama separately for first wash to avoid colour transfer

•     Do not bleach or tumble dry any piece

•     Dry flat in shade — avoid direct sunlight to preserve the sunshine yellow tone

•     Iron koti on lowest silk setting from reverse side — never iron directly over the printed silk
